How will this app benefit your federation?

The app has ‘donate’ buttons: players will be encouraged in smart and fun ways to make a micro donation. This micro donation will be the same amount you need to charge each member of your federation and each donation goes directly to your own bank account. We highly recommend making the donation amount as low as possible. It targets the players who are not playing in national tournaments or leagues and most likely never will.

 

 

Why would players make a micro donation?

1.   This app is free of charge and people will love it. Experience dictates that many people donate small amounts if they use an application free of charge; Wikipedia is a key example.

2.   Each player´s name will be visible in multiple locations across the app and will be seen by other players.  If a player makes a micro donation, the GREY HEART and the GREY SPORTS ICON, displayed next to his/her name, turn into a RED HEART and a COLOURED SPORTS ICON. The red heart and icon will be displayed at any place in the app where the player´s name is mentioned; in the profile, rankings, search engine and in all events. This will encourage others to do the same.  

 

3.   It will be emphasized throughout the app that a micro donation means “love for the sport.”

 

4.   Many of your top players will support this project because the application will generate more income and more members for your federation, which leads to more income for your federation as well.  If you show in a transparent way how this income will be spent, then your top players will be more likely to support the project.

 

5.   You will ask your clubs’ top junior and senior top players to start using the app and make a donation and then to share this info on social media, by using the Facebook buttons on the app.  These players have an enormous influence on all the other players in your clubs. 

 

6.   The app links into the social media trend, allowing players to display their games/matches, including the award icon, on Facebook.
